Tetris Evolution
What do you do when there is a game that is more that twenty years old,
totally addicting, simple to play and most everyone has a copy?
You make it more complicated, add color, music, skins, animations, multi-player ability and Xbox Live for head to head competition.
In addition to the basic Tetris game, the embellishments are, Cascade Tetris - extra points when a
falling line causes another line to clear,
which in turn causes a cascade effect,
and Hot-Line Tetris - Clear lines of blocks on special existing lines on screen.
Three new ones - Score, Eraser and Go Low, replace the Fusion Tetris, Square Tetris and
Sticky Tetris which were on the PC back in 2001.
I think that there are big games and small games.
Big games, like epics, wars, sports, feel right on a souped-up XBox 360 and shown on a 46" HDTV.
Little games, Tetris, Sudoku, are played cupped in the palm of your hand with the Nintendo DS or PSP.
