Favorite Games

We've been playing games for many years and the games listed here have become our favorites. Many are older games and have not been surpassed either in game play or creativity. They are clearly worth playing or giving as gifts. Most are PC games, and they will play on older versions of Microsoft Windows. I keep a separate setup of Windows just to play these games if newer Windoes versions won't accomidate them. ...continued

Six Flavors of Violence

Of course the news about Manhunt 2 essentially being banned in England, Ireland, Germany and Australia and getting an AO rating by the ESRB, would give me another chance to rail about the violence in the game industry. The game, from the GTA publisher Take-Two, was banned because of "casual sadism". Casual Violence is not a category that ESRB has implemented yet, but it may just be a matter of time for that category to be needed. ...continued
